‘Minning Gaaun’ to air on Kantipur Television from today

‘Minning Gaaun’, which focuses on China’s poverty alleviation efforts, will air in a Nepali dubbed version on Kantipur Television every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 9 pm.
This acclaimed work, which drew a large audience and widespread praise during its airing in China, will also be broadcast simultaneously on Chinese and Nepali movie/TV channels of the South Asia Network TV, expected to bring fresh momentum to cultural exchange between China and Nepal.
The series depicts the story of the people and workers in the Sihaiqu region who, in response to the national poverty alleviation policy, transformed the dry coast, a land battered by wind and sand, into the golden coast through hard work and relentless effort, with the support of Fujian Province.
‘Minning Gaaun’ has already been dubbed in English and various other languages and broadcast in multiple countries. The series has won numerous awards, including the Magnolia Award for Best Chinese TV Series at the 27th Shanghai Television Festival, the Best TV Series Award at the 33rd China TV Flying Apsaras Awards, and the Best TV Series Award at the 31st China TV Golden Eagle Awards.
On June 23, 2023, it received the Magnolia Award (International Broadcast) at the 28th Shanghai Television Festival. These awards not only reflect the high artistic quality of the series but also highlight its positive impact on international broadcasting of Chinese television, vividly portraying Chinese stories and sharing China’s experiences with the world.
The broadcast of this TV series in Nepal is expected to play an essential role in strengthening bilateral relations by giving a new dimension to cultural exchange between China and Nepal.
