Katha Ghera Productions is hosting an acting workshop titled ‘Originality in Acting’, facilitated by actor, director, acting coach, and casting director Sudam CK. The workshop aims to help participants explore their individuality in performance while nurturing authenticity and creative expression.
The programme invites applications from those aged 20 and above. While prior acting experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. The workshop is also open to filmmakers, writers, artists, or anyone interested in deepening their understanding of creative expression.
According to Arjun Niroula, manager of Katha Ghera Productions, the ‘Originality in Acting’ is a six-week workshop, conducted twice a year. To apply, participants must submit an informal bio of 300 to 500 words describing how they perceive themselves rather than a formal CV.
Speaking about her experience, student and actor Nistha Tripathi says, “‘Originality in Acting’ is not just an acting workshop—it’s the time and commitment that you give to yourself to hold up a mirror in front of you; to introspect within and to work on your craft. It’s the best thing that happened to me.”
The deadline for applications is October 25, and selected participants will be notified on October 26. The workshop will run from November 2 to December 15, taking place daily from 3 pm to 6:30 pm at the Katha Ghera Studio.
