Girls Empowered by Travel (GET) is a non-profit organisation that creates safe opportunities for women to travel and participate in community activities. To mark its 8th anniversary, GET Nepal is hosting a special edition of Travel Talk on September 11, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Draper Startup House, Dillibazar, Kathmandu.

This edition, titled ‘Empowering Journeys, Empowering Women’, will provide a space for participants to share experiences, exchange perspectives, and reflect on how travel can shape identity, challenge stereotypes, and support personal development.

“Travel is not only about moving from one place to another: it involves facing challenges, learning from new perspectives, and finding common ground through shared experiences,” said Sahil Kushwaha, vice president of GET Nepal. “For women, travel can contribute to building confidence, developing resilience, and encouraging change.”

The programme will feature a documentary screening, an interactive discussion session, and networking over hi-tea bringing together travellers and storytellers to explore how travel influences women in Nepal and beyond.
