Guitarist Suren Lama to embark on world tour
Following his US performances, Lama will travel to Europe in November, with shows planned in France, Germany, and Switzerland.

Nepali guitarist Suren Lama, known for his signature global fusion style that blends Eastern melodies with Western genres, will embark on his world tour in September 2025.
Lama will begin his US tour with performances across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. His opening show is scheduled for September 13 at the Harvest Moon Festival in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, followed by a solo performance at Gypsy Rose in Warminster the next day. On September 21, he will appear at Union Coffee in Lambertville, New Jersey.
The tour will also feature multiple festival performances. Lama is set to play at the New Hope Arts and Crafts Festival in Pennsylvania on September 27 and 28. He will return to New Hope on October 2 for a concert at Dharma Bums, before heading to Lambertville, New Jersey, on October 4 to perform at the Lambertville Porchfest. Rounding off the US leg, Lama will conduct a workshop on global fusion and Eastern music culture at Gypsy Rose in Warminster on October 12
Following his US performances, Lama will travel to Europe in November, with shows planned in France, Germany, and Switzerland. In December, his Asia-Pacific schedule will include concerts in Hong Kong and Australia. Specific dates and venues for these regions are expected to be announced soon.
Lama, who began his professional career in 1997, has earned recognition for his ability to merge Eastern classical and traditional Nepali sounds with jazz, rock, funk, and contemporary Western music. His debut single, ‘The Dawn’, was a finalist for the World Songwriting Awards and the Intercontinental Music Awards in 2024. Over the years, he has performed in Europe, particularly Germany and Switzerland. “I feel proud and honoured to bring Nepali musical traditions to the world,” he says.
