The Himalayan Art Festival 2025, organised by E-Arts, opened at the Nepal Art Council on Thursday and will run until August 14.
The week-long festival was jointly inaugurated by Anand Bagaria, Cabinet Shrestha, Hem Raj Dhakal, Ritu Singh Vaidya, and Saurabh Jyoti, the Sharks from Shark Tank Nepal.
The opening ceremony honoured senior artist and designer Shyam Das Ashanta and featured the presentation of the Prashanta Scholarship Award 2025, which recognises and supports emerging young artists.
As part of the festival, a Children’s Art Workshop was held on Saturday, followed by an Art Talk and panel discussion on Sunday.
Since 2017, E-Arts has organised the event annually. It showcases diverse artworks and provides a platform for creative exchange among artists, collectors, and the public.
