Post Report
Acting and Direction mentor Anish Jung Thapa is conducting a 10-day acting workshop starting from August 17, tailored for both beginners and aspiring performers looking to deepen their craft. Open to those with no prior experience as well as those wishing to advance their acting skills, the workshop promises a supportive, hands-on environment with a class size limited to just 10 students to ensure individual attention and quality training.
The workshop will run daily for two hours—from 7 am to 9 am—and is priced at Rs8,000. Over the span of 10 days, participants will explore key areas of performance including method acting, dialogue delivery, body language, and tapping into real emotions while performing.
The structured curriculum includes sessions on body mechanics, imagination exercises, miming, gibberish logic, emotional and sensory memory, character building, and voice training, culminating in a final performance with a scripted piece.
Thapa, a graduate in direction from Oscar Film College and co-founder of Fun Revolution Entertainment, draws from his early filmmaking journey. “In the beginning, we couldn’t afford to hire actors, so we trained interested individuals ourselves—and it worked. That’s what inspired these short-term workshops,” he explains.
Participants who wish to pursue acting further after the 10-day course can also opt for a one-month advanced-level traini ng. The workshop offers a chance to explore and elevate one’s potential in the performing arts. For further info, go to the official facebook page of Anish Jung Thapa.
