Post Report
‘Peeda Geet’, a solo theatrical performance written by playwright Khagendra Lamichhane and directed by Che Shankar, is currently being shown at Bikalpa Art Café in Pulchowk, Lalitpur. The play opened on May 12 and will run through June 15, with shows scheduled only on Saturdays and Sundays at 6 pm.
This play delves into the lingering emotional and psychological aftermath of war. It weaves together fragments of memory, grief, and personal struggle. The story focuses on Dal Bahadur, a man displaced during Nepal’s Maoist insurgency who is now navigating his life alone in Kathmandu.
Nirbhik, who is carrying out the role of Dal Bahadur, says, “I was very young during the Maoist insurgency. Visiting that timeline to portray this role is quite challenging. This is also my first solo performance.”
His monologue draws audiences into a heartfelt journey of loss, survival, and forgotten dreams.
Tickets for the play can be booked at Ticket Sanjal.
