Nepal's medal tally reaches 23 with 15 golds

Nepal secure two gold in women's team Poomase events
Nisha Darnal, Swastika Tamang and Sanjila Timilsina won gold medal in 17-29 age group, while Nepal’s Nita Gurung, Prashansa Chhetri and Sushila Rai won gold medal in above 23 years category in the women’s team Poomase event.
Anu Adhikari won the gold medal in the under 45kg category of Kumite. She secured the victory against the Sri Lankan opponent via technical knockout.
Shakya and Ojha win gold in pair Poomsae and Khadka in Kumite
Nepal wins two bronze medals in badminton
Nepal won bronze medals in men's and women's team category of badminton. Nepal lost both games to Sri Lanka.
Biplav Lal Shrestha wins another gold for Nepal in Kumite
Biplav Lal Shrestha won gold in +84kg senior men's Kumite by defeating Muhammad Baz of Pakistan. Similarly, Jit Bahadur Bot and Parbati Gurung won bronze in 23-29 years age category of pair Poomsae.
Ayesha Shakya won gold in above 30 years age category of individual Taekwondo Poomsae increasing the medal tally of Nepal to 12 with nine golds.
Diwash Shrestha wins silver in Kumite
Diwash Shrestha lost to a Pakistani athlete in the final of 84 kg category of Kumite.
Parbati Gurung wins gold in individual Taekwondo Poomsae
Laxman Tamang wins gold in Kumite
Laxman Tamang won gold in 55kg category of Kumite by defeating Mohammad Mustafa of Bangladesh.
Nepal wins gold in men's group Kata
Nepal won a gold medal in men's group kata of Karate. A team of Mandekaji Shrestha,Mahasus Tamang, Prabin Manandhar scored 25.54 against Sri Lanka's 25.28.
Sina Maden wins gold in Taekwondo
Sina Maden won a gold medal in women's individual Taekwondo Poomsae 17-23 age category.
Kamal Shrestha wins gold in Taekwondo
Kamal Shrestha won a gold medal in Taekwondo. He defeated Rahul Jain of India in men's individual poomsae under-29 category. Shrestha secured 8.270 points against Rahul's 8.200.
Similarly, Krishna Bahadur Tamang settled for silver in the under 23 categories of Taekwondo. He lost to Sri Lankan player.
Mandekaji Shrestha wins the first gold medal for Nepal
Nepal bagged its first gold medal in the 13th South Asian Games on Monday. Mandekaji Shrestha won gold in senior men’s individual Kata. He secured 25.72 against Pakistani player Niamatuliah’s 24.92.
Likewise, Sangita Malla, Nirmala Tamang and Saru Karki won the second gold medal in the group kata event. They scored 24.88 points against Pakistan’s 23.3.
In another event held in Pokhara, Soni Gurung secured a gold medal in women’s Triathlon. She completed the race in 1 hour 13 minutes and 45 seconds. Likewise, Basanta Tharu won bronze for Nepal in the men's category by completing the race in 1 hour three minutes and six seconds.
Earlier in the day, Chanchala Danuwar won a silver medal after she lost to Pakistan’s Shahida in senior women’s individual Karate Kata final.
Ashmin Raut and Sina Limbu Maden win bronze in 17-23 years age category of pair Poomsae.
