According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the country is currently under the influence of a westerly low-pressure system.

Today, light to moderate rainfall is expected in some areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, and light rainfall is also possible in a few hilly regions of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

The Division also forecasts light snowfall in many areas of the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, a few areas of the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki province, and one or two areas of the remaining provinces' high hilly and Himalayan regions.

The Division has advised the public to take necessary precautions as this may impact daily life, health, transportation, tourism, and air travel.
