The Balgopaleshwor Temple inside the Rani Pokhari in Kathmandu will remain open this year on the day of Bhai Tika, the last day of the five-day Tihar festival.
The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has carried out all preparations to open the Temple since Thursday morning.
Bhai Tika is observed on the second day of the waxing moon of the month of Kartik as per the lunar calendar.
“Devotees can pray and worship in the temple from dawn to dusk on Thursday,” said KMC spokesperson Nabin Manandhar.
People who do not have siblings visit the temple and receive Bhai Tika.
