The mortal remains of Caravan actor and social activist Thinley Lhondup were laid to rest according to Buddhist tradition at Pachalighat in Teku on Friday. He was 72.
Thinley, a permanent resident of Saldang-5, died in his home district Dolpa on April 24 after falling off a cliff at Chhepka in Phoksundo VDC, on his way back home from Dunai, the district headquarters. He fell along with the horse he was riding as it was pushed by mule passing through the narrow track.
Home Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet among other dignitaries paid final tribute to Thinley.
