Speaking during today’s parliament meet, Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal whip Shivaji Yadav dubbed the constitution amendment as a means of distraction.
“The electoral seats allotted by the interim constitution in Tarai have been cut down as declaration of electoral constituencies in Madhes on the basis of population only has been undermined by introducing geographic basis,” said Yadav, “Proportional Representation has also not been addressed as per our demands. All of this (amendment) is just a distraction.”
Meanwhile, the parliament meeting is underway despite Morcha’s walk out.
