Early vote counting in Kanchanpur constituency number 3 shows Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Gyanendra Mahata taking the lead.
According to Chief Election Officer Tara Prasad Joshi, around 900 votes have been counted so far, with Mahata receiving 387 votes. Nepali Congress candidate Hari Prasad Bohara has secured 156 votes, while CPN-UML’s Deepak Prakash Bhatta has 85 votes.
The constituency has a total of 103,087 registered voters, of whom 58,361 have cast their ballots, including 32,730 women and 25,631 men, marking a 56.62 percent turnout. A total of 17 candidates are competing in the constituency.
