Kanchanpur
A man died, and another was injured in a scooter accident at ward 7 of Bedkot Municipality along the East-West Highway on Saturday night.
Bhuwan Bhatt, 23, of Bhimdatta Municipality-18, lost his life, while Khem Bhatt, the rider, was injured and is being treated at Nisarga Hospital in Dhangadhi.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Umesh Joshi of the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, the accident occurred at a damaged culvert.
Police say accidents in the area have been increasing due to the lack of proper repairs.
