A woman died after she was buried when a mound of red clay collapsed on her in Doti on Monday.
According to Prashant Shrivastava, information officer at the District Police Office, the victim has been identified as 60-year-old Bhagadevi Ojha. The incident occurred at around 2pm when Ojha was digging out red clay, used for daubing house floors and walls.
Another Parvati Khadka, 50, was injured after she was also buried under the heap of clay. She has been taken to the district hospital for treatment.
In a similar incident on Sunday, 21-year-old Nirmala Rosyara of Shikhar Municipality was also killed after being buried by a mound of red clay. Three other women, who were also buried, were rescued.
