One dead in Bajura boat capsize

A 32-year-old man drowned when a wooden boat capsized in Chhededaha lake of Bajura, a hill district of Sudurpaschim Province, on Sunday.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Kabindra Bohara, Birendra Rawat of ward 7 of Khaptad Chhededaha Rural Municipality died in the incident.

Five others survived by swimming to safety, but Rawat drowned. Police said their investigation has found none of the men on the boat had worn lifejackets.
