Baitadi

The Mahakali highway connecting Baitadi and Darchula districts has been blocked by landslides due to incessant rain since Saturday night.

According to Police Inspector Yogesh Khatri, the landslide that occurred at Dharmaghar in ward 3 of Surnaya Rural Municipality has completely stopped vehicular movement.

Work on clearing the landslide debris has been delayed by continuous rainfall.

The highway blockage has cut-off the road link to Darchula, said Khatri.
