Dhangadi Sub-metropolis health workers protest demanding due salary
The permanent health workers at the sub-metropolis halted works saying they have not been paid for the last six months.

Permanent health workers working under Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city office have stopped their work stating that they have not received their salaries for the past six months.
The health workers, on Sunday, staged a sit-in in front of the administration building of the sub-metropolis office to pressurise the concerned authorities to clear their dues.
According to the health workers, 54 of them who have been working for the city, from the ward level to the sub-metropolitan office, have not received their salaries since October last year.
Geeta Bhat, one of the protesting health workers, said that they had to resort to protest as the authorities did not pay heed to repeated requests for payment.
The agitating health workers said that they will continue with their sit-in protest in front of the administration division of the sub-metropolis and will not provide services at health posts including at specialist ward health clinics among others.
The health workers also said that as a part of their protest, they will not prepare reports on the daily health-related programs conducted through the sub-metropolis.
