Bopara’s third straight fifty posts Chitwan to 174 against Biratnagar

Chitwan Rhinos posted 174 for five against Biratnagar Kings in their Nepal Premier League (NPL) fixture on Wednesday, setting a target of 175 after an impressive innings led by Ravi Bopara.
Invited to bat first after Biratnagar won the toss at the TU International Cricket Ground, Chitwan were powered by Bopara’s commanding 65 off 38 balls.
The English all-rounder struck three fours and four sixes, bringing up his third consecutive half-century of the tournament.
Saif Zaib added 32, while Dev Khanal contributed a steady 28. Dawid Malan made 17 before being bowled by Marchant de Lange, who also dismissed Deepak Bohora for five with Lokesh Bam completing the catch.
Kushal Malla remained unbeaten on 20, and Amar Rautela finished not out on three.
Biratnagar’s bowlers shared the wickets, with de Lange and captain Sandeep Lamichhane picking up two each. Shubham Ranjane claimed one.
