Nepal's U-20 volleyball team was defeated by Uzbekistan in the final of the CAVA U-20 Championship held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Saturday. Despite a strong start by winning the first set, Nepal was unable to maintain its lead and lost in four sets.

Uzbekistan made a remarkable comeback to secure a 3-1 victory with set scores of 25-27, 25-10, 25-16, and 25-20. The Uzbek team remained undefeated throughout the tournament and claimed the championship title.

Nepal had also lost to Uzbekistan in the group stage of the competition. In the third-place playoff, Turkmenistan triumphed over Kyrgyzstan in a thrilling five-set match, winning 23-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-23, and 15-13 after losing the first two sets.

The tournament featured teams from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and the Maldives, with Uzbekistan emerging as the overall champion.
