The 1st Sahana Pradhan U-19 Girls' and Boys' Volleyball Tournament will take place from June 25 to 28 at Dasharath Stadium.

The Sahana Pradhan Foundation is organising the event with support from the Chaudhary Group and other supporting partners.

The event's press conference was held at the Kantipur TV office in Tinkune on Friday. It featured Nirvana Chaudhary, managing director of the Chaudhary Group; Ram Kumari Jhakri, secretary of the CPN (Unified Socialist); and Shishir Pachai, the Chief Executive Officer of Kantipur TV HD.

The volleyball tournament will feature 13 under-19 players, both male and female, selected from seven provinces. The players will compete against each other, and the winning team will represent Nepal in the upcoming international volleyball games being held in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

“CG is committed to developing the sports scene of Nepal. We are pleased to support Miss Jhankri’s initiative and keen to see Nepali players on the international platform,” says Chaudhary.

According to the event’s visionary, Ram Kumari Jhakri, the primary goal of the tournament is to bring talented individuals from across the 7 provinces to the forefront and contribute to Nepal’s sporting excellence.

The tournament, organisers said, will be a significant step in promoting and developing volleyball in Nepal.
