International Cricket Council announces fixtures for ICC U-19 World Cup

The International Cricket Council on Friday announced the fixtures of the ICC U-19 World Cup 2024 with the tournament set to take place in Sri Lanka from January 13 to February 4.
As per the fixtures, Nepal will begin the World Cup journey by taking on New Zealand at P Saravanamuttu International Cricket Stadium in Colombo on January 13.
Nepal will play against Pakistan on January 17 and against Afghanistan on January 20 in the other group-stage matches.
The participating teams have been divided into four groups, each consisting of four teams. The top three teams from each group will progress to the Super Six stage. Group stage matches will take place from January 13-21.
According to ICC, the top two teams from each Super Six group will qualify for the semi-finals, with the winners of this knock-out round sealing their place in the final which will be played at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo on February 4.
Nepal have been placed in Group ‘D’ along with Pakistan, New Zealand and Afghanistan.
Nepal had qualified for the ICC U-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 after they defeated the United Arab Emirates to secure the top position in the Asian Regional Qualifier on March 2.
