Nepal U-16 register 225-run win over Thailand U-16

Nepal U-16 registered a 225-run victory against Thailand U-16 to reach the semifinals of the ACC Mens Under-16 East Zone Cup held at the UKM Cricket Oval, Malaysia on Wednesday.
Nepal won the toss and elected to bat first putting an impressive 269 runs on the board with the loss of eight wickets.
Niraj Kumar Yadav cracked a half-century, smashing seven hits to the fence and six sixes. Yadav scored 74 runs in his 43-knock play before being caught by Thailand’s Jet Sada off Eeshan Banerjee.
Naren Bhatt put up an unbeaten 43-ball 55, smashing five boundaries.
Similarly, Santosh Yadav scored 42 runs and Suryanshu Koirala added another 40 for Nepal.
In response, the Thailand U-16 batting lineup crumbled and the team was bundled for 44 runs in 13.2 overs. Only two batters scored in double digits for the Thai team. Danuphon Fuangyotpinit scored 12 runs while Eeshan Banerjee hit 16 runs off 12 deliveries.
For Nepal, Santosh took five wickets in his 3.2-over spell. Ashok Dhami took three Thai scalps while Abhishekh Tiwari claimed two wickets.
