The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against former national football team captain at the Special Court on Wednesday alleging him of producing fake academic certificates to get a job at Nepal Police.
Issuing a press statement, the anti-graft body has alleged that Khadka presented a fake certificate to get the job of Assistant Sub Inspector at Nepal Police in 1999 and was promoted to Sub Inspector four years later. "He has been convicted guilty for getting personal benefit by incurring loss to the Nepal Government," reads a statement issued by the CIAA.
Khadka, the highest international goal scorer for Nepal with 13 goals in his name and former national women's team coach, had resigned from Nepal Police in 2017.
