Dhuku thump Sankhamul to win Bagmati Qualifier of National Futsal League

Dhuku Futsal thumped Sankhamul Futsal 8-2 in the final to win Bagmati Qualifier of ‘A’ Division National Futsal League at the Baijanti Futsal in Sano Thimi, Bhaktapur on Sunday.Both the finalists along with two other semi-finalists—PrabhatPheri Youth Club and Sky Goals—were already assured of a place in the tournament finals as the top four teams from the Bagmati Qualifier would be eligible to compete in the event. Dhuku’s Aamid Halid was declared the player of the match in the final.The finals set to feature 10 teams will take place from May 8 to 29 at the Pokhara Multipurpose Covered Hall.The ‘A’ Division futsal league finals are scheduled to be held from May 8 to 29 at the Pokhara covered hall, where 10 teams from seven provinces will contest for the title.
Dharan-based clubs Futsal 5 and The Rising Club have already qualified from Province 1 for the finals while Lumbini Futsal also secured their berth after emerging victorious from the joint Qualifiers of Provinces 5, 6 and Sudurpaschim Province.
The qualifiers for Gandaki Province will be held from April 16 to 20 at Sports Castle and Paiyum Sports Centre in Pokhara. Only two teams from Gandaki will qualify for the league finals.
The allocation of the number of teams in provinces has been set as per the existence of futsal clubs in the regions.The teams contesting the Pokhara finals will get Rs100,000 each from the All Nepal Football Association as preparatory fees. Each team consists of 14 players, one coach, manager and physiotherapists.
The winners of the tournament will take home a purse of Rs1 million while the runners-up will get half the amount. The best goalkeeper, defender, winger, emerging player and best coach of the tournament will receive Rs25,000 each. The man of the match of each game will get Rs5,000.
