Nepali MMA fighter Rabindra Dhant has secured a place in the finals of the Road to UFC Season 5 selection tournament.
Dhant defeated New Zealand’s Kasib Murdoch on points during their semi-final bout in Shanghai, China, on Friday.
Nicknamed the ‘Tiger of Bajhang’, Dhant previously overcame the Philippines’ Kimbert Alintozon in his opening match in Macau in May.
Dhant rose to prominence in August last year after clinching the bantamweight title at Matrix Fight Night 17 (MFN 17), where he defeated India’s renowned champion, Chungreng Koren.
