Nepal unveiled the final 20-member squad for the fourth Saff Women’s Championship slated to begin from December in Siliguri, India. Namita Dali, Anjila Subba and Anjana Rana Magar are the goalkeepers, while Gita Rana, Punam Magar, Hira Bhujel, Anchali Waiwa, Manmaya Limbu and Kabita Dhimal are defenders in the team.
The squad consists seven midfielders in Sapana Lama, Anita Basnet, Saru Limbu, Dipa Adhikari, Renuka Nagarkote, Dipa Rai and Manjali Yonjan. Sabitra Bhandari, Krishna Khatri, Sharmila Thapa and Nirmala BK are the forwards. Nepal are pitted in Group ‘A’ against Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bhutan in the biennial tournament in which they have finished runners-up in all three editions, losing to India on all occasions. (PR)
