Kathmandu District were crowned champions of the Regional One-day cricket tournament here at the Pulchowk Engineering college ground on Sunday. Kathmandu edged Lalitpur by one wicket in the tournament played under the round-robin league to lift the title. Kathmandu chased a target of 187 runs in 39.4 overs and a wicket to spare as opener Bijay Gautam contributed 68 runs and tail-ender Ritesh Singh remained unbeaten on 21. Earlier, openers Sujan Maharjan scored 50 and Sudhir Maharjan made 40 as Lalitpur were bowled out for 186 runs in 39.3 overs.
