Two boys drown while swimming in public pond in Kapilvastu

Two boys drowned while swimming in a public pond in Krishnanagar Municipality-7, Sukhrampur, on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Kapilvastu District Police Office, the incident occurred at around 2:30 pm when 12-year-old Akash Badhai, son of local resident Ranjit Badhai, and 11-year-old Ambar Raidas, son of Rajendra Raidas, entered the pond to swim.
The bodies were recovered by police and local residents and sent to Shivraj Hospital in Bahadurganj for post-mortem.
Earlier, on July 31, two boys in Banganga Municipality-5, Kopawa, also drowned while bathing in a water-filled pit.
