Bardiya
A 71-year-old man was killed in an elephant attack in ward 2 of Thakurbaba Municipality in Bardiya district on Wednesday night.
According to police, the elephant, which had strayed from Bardiya National Park, attacked him in a field near his house at around 11:45pm.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Rishiram Ghartimagar, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Bardiya said the deceased was identified as local Baliram Tharu.
