Two arrested in inheritance cases in Bardiya
Octogenarian among those held years after court verdicts.Post Report
Two individuals, including an 80-year-old man, have been arrested in inheritance cases in Bardiya.
According to police, the Bardiya District Court had issued a verdict on November 29, 2007, imposing a fine of Rs4,510.50 on octogenarian Dwarika Chamar from ward 9 of Gulariya Municipality.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Rishiram Gharti Magar, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Bardiya, said Chamar was arrested from his home.
Similarly, police arrested Rahimat Ali of Customs Road in ward 8 of Gulariya Municipality in connection with a similar case. The Bardiya District Court had issued a verdict on March 11, 2015, imposing a fine of Rs4,837 on him, but he had been absconding.
Both were presented before the Bardiya District Court on Monday for further legal proceedings.
