A 51-year-old woman was killed in a leopard attack in Bardiya on Friday afternoon while grazing goats, police said.
According to District Police Office Bardiya, Juna Kumari Lamichhane of ward 7 in Madhuwan Municipality was attacked by the leopard near the Nepal-India border.
She was rushed to Gulariya Hospital in critical condition but succumbed to her injuries before reaching the hospital, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Rishiram Gharti Magar.
Dr Subash Pandey, medical superintendent at Bardiya Hospital, said she was already dead when brought to the hospital.
