Bardiya
Police on Friday arrested an absconding rape convict in Bardiya.
The district court had sentenced Kaliram Tharu of Thakurbaba Municipality to 2 years and 5 months in prison and fined Rs135,000 on November 28 last year.
The 41-year-old had been on the run since the court verdict, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Tulsiram Aryal.
