A municipal sanitation worker died after being hit by a jeep in Sindhuli on Sunday morning, police said.
Sher Bahadur Khapangi, 35, a sanitation worker from ward 12 of Kamalamai Municipality, was cycling to work when he was struck by a jeep travelling from Jhapa to Kathmandu.
The incident occurred near Ratmata in ward 6 of Kamalamai Municipality along the BP Highway.
Superintendent of Police Govindaraj Kafle, chief of the District Police Office, Sindhuli, said the driver has been taken into custody.
