A 12-year-old girl lost her life after a rock fell from a hillside and struck a passenger bus on the Tribhuvan Highway.

The incident occurred at Bhulbhule, along the Hetauda-Bhaise section, when a rock fell onto the bus, fatally injuring Riku Thing, a resident of Makawanpurgadhi Rural Municipality-8.

The Ba Pra 03-001 kha 3310 bus was travelling towards Ichung in Bhimphedi when the rock suddenly fell from the cliff above.

She was initially treated at Hetauda Hospital and later transferred to Chitwan for further medical care. she passed away during treatment, according to the District Police Office, Makawanpur.
