Two fugitives charged with poaching rhino and smuggling its horn were arrested from Hatiya in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-16 on Saturday evening.
According to the District Police Office in Makawanpur, Bishnu Karki, aged 52, and Kale Baniya, aged 46, of Padampur in Chitwan were detained.
The suspects had been staying in Hatiya, Hetauda.
“The suspects have been handed over to the Chitwan National Park for investigation,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police Laxmi Bhandari.
