An Armed Police Force (APF) team seized Rs10.1 million from a car in ward 5 of Harinagar Rural Municipality in Sunsari district on Sunday.
The APF personnel recovered the money during a security check of the car, which was heading for Hariharnagar from Ghuski border point along the Nepal-India border.
The seized bank notes were hidden in a sack. Driver Isa Ansari, aged 37, of the same ward has been detained for investigation.
