Oli skips Secretariat meeting, next meeting on Saturday

Nepal Communist Party chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli skipped the party Secretariat meeting on Wednesday.
After Oli did not attend the meeting that was supposed to discuss the political document presented by Oli and another chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Wednesday's meeting was adjourned. The next meeting will be held on Saturday.
Oli could not attend the meeting due to his busy schedule, Surya Thapa, his press adviser said.
Internal rift in the ruling party has intensified after Oli and Dahal presented two different political reports before the Secretariat.
Similarly, the Secretariat meeting has decided to convene a meeting of the party Standing Committee on Sunday.
Earlier the standing committee meeting was scheduled for Thursday.
The meeting was postponed for some more days to continue discussions with all members, including the prime minister, party spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said.
The meeting hardly went on for 20 minutes on Wednesday.
