Adhikari elected NSJF President

Niranjan Adhikari was elected the President of the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) on Thursday. Adhikari won the election against Prakash Timalsina by 10 votes. Likewise, Anjan Khadka and Anil Malla Thakuri emerged victorious as the general secretary and secretary, respectively. Ramesh Subedi, Kabiras Sharma and Abhinav Joshi were elected as members. Muna Karki was elected unopposed as the treasurer and Namita Dahal as the female member. Karki is the first woman to be elected to an executive role in the NSJF’s three-decade history, according to Durga Nath Subedi aka Devendra, the immediate past president. Similarly, Prajwal Oli got elected unopposed as the First Vice-President alongside Sanjeev Silpakar and Govinda Regmi as vice-presidents. “The new team will give continuity to the forum’s previous activities and introduce new initiatives that will benefit sports journalists throughout the country,” Adhikari said after winning the election.
