Consumers queue to refill empty cylinders at Nepal Gas Industries Pvt Ltd in Balaju, Kathmandu. Demand for cooking gas has surged in recent days amid rumours of a possible shortage of petroleum products due to the ongoing war in the West Asia.
Long queues have formed at gas depots across the market. The Nepal Oil Corporation said it has started supplying half-filled cylinders from Friday in a bid to meet demand.
