RSP surges ahead in FPTP and proportional vote counts
RSP has won 61 FPTP seats and is leading in another 61 constituencies, maintaining its stronghold in the ongoing elections.Post Report
The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) continues to dominate the first-past-the-post (FPTP) vote count, winning 61 seats and leading in 61 other constituencies, according to the latest Election Commission tally.
The Nepali Congress has secured 10 of 165 seats and is leading in 10 constituencies, while CPN-UML has won three seats and is ahead in seven constituencies.
The Nepali Communist Party has also won two seats and leads in six constituencies. Other parties and independents together have won two seats and are leading in three constituencies.
Based on the ongoing proportional representation (PR) vote count nationwide, the Rastriya Swatantra Party is leading with 275,558 votes.
Other major parties are trailing: Nepali Congress has 84,717 votes, CPN-UML 68,548 votes, and Nepali Communist Party 28,787 votes.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party has 21,513 votes, while the Shram Sanskriti Party secured 11,173 votes. Smaller parties together have received remaining votes.
The count reflects entries from polling centres across the country and is preliminary.
