CPN-UML chair KP Sharma Oli is trailing far behind Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Balendra Shah in Jhapa-5 as vote counting continues.
According to the latest results, Shah has secured 55,934 votes, while Oli has received 15,409 votes.
Shah currently leads Oli by a margin of 40,525 votes, putting the former prime minister on the verge of defeat in the constituency.
