186,000 out-of-constituency voters registered for March 5 polls

The Election Commission has said that 186,000 out-of-constituency voters have been registered for the upcoming House of Representatives elections.
Kul Bahadur GC, assistant spokesperson of the Commission, noted that the electoral authorities have arranged 143 polling stations nationwide to accommodate out-of-constituency voters. Those who fail to reach their polling stations in their home districts due to election duties or other prescribed circumstances are allowed to use their voting rights from areas of their duty stations.
This category primarily includes employees under civil service, provincial governments, local governments, and state-owned entities. It also encompasses personnel from the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal, as well as inmates and detainees in correctional facilities.
These voters are permitted to cast their ballots under the Proportional Representation category at specifically designated polling stations.
