Man dies after electrocution in Makalu

A man died after being electrocuted in Makalu Rural Municipality-5, Mangsima, on Tuesday morning.
Inspector Dhanbahadur Rajbanshi, spokesperson for the District Police Office, said that the victim was found dead near Simli Khola most probably after coming into contact with a snapped electric wire while carrying a heavy load.
A local resident noticed the body at around 11:30 am while walking along the route and immediately informed the police.
The deceased has been identified as Amar Bahadur Rai of Mangsima, local residents said.
The incident site lies a day’s walk from the Hedangna Area Police Office. Police said further investigation into the case is underway.
