Nepse dips by five points, turnover approaches Rs3.9 billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) witnessed a mild decline on Sunday, slipping by 5.15 points to close at 2,540.57. The benchmark index fell by 0.20 percent compared to the previous trading session.
According to Nepse, share prices of 75 listed companies increased, while 168 declined and 14 remained unchanged—indicating a broader downward trend in market movement.
A total turnover of Rs3.89 billion was recorded from the trading of 7.95 million shares executed through 47,176 transactions, the exchange said.
Out of 13 trading subgroups, only hotels and tourism, manufacturing and processing, and others posted gains. Indices of development banks, non-life insurance, life insurance, microfinance, and several other subgroups ended the day in negative territory.
