Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the prices of diesel, kerosene and aviation fuel, effective from Sunday midnight.

According to NOC, the decision follows the latest purchase rates received from Indian Oil Corporation. At its board meeting, the corporation decided to lower the retail price of diesel and kerosene by Rs4 per litre. Similarly, the price of aviation fuel for domestic airlines has been cut by Re1 per litre.

For international flights from Kathmandu, aviation fuel has been reduced by $7 per kilolitre. Meanwhile, for Pokhara and Bhairahawa airports, the corporation has fixed the price at the breakeven point.

NOC, however, has kept the retail prices of petrol and liquefied petroleum (LP) gas unchanged.

The revised rates will be enforced nationwide from Sunday midnight, the corporation said in a statement.
