Rastriya Swatantra Party demands strong stance on Lipulekh issue
The party urges firm government action amid India-China trade route reopening through Lipulekh.
Post Report
The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has reiterated its firm position on Nepal's territorial integrity, urging the government to assertively address the Lipulekh, Kalapani, and Limpiyadhura issue during upcoming diplomatic engagements.
In a statement on Tuesday, the RSP emphasised that these areas are integral parts of Nepal, supported by historical treaties such as the Sugauli Treaty of 1816. The party expressed concern over recent developments involving India and China, particularly the reopening of traditional trade routes through Lipulekh, and called for the government to adopt a clear and resolute approach in defending Nepal's sovereignty.
The RSP also urged the government to address domestic uncertainties regarding its preparedness on this issue. The party emphasised the need for transparent communication and a unified national stance, especially in light of the Prime Minister's forthcoming visits to India and China.
