A 10-year-old boy died on Tuesday afternoon after being hit by a car in Dudhauli Municipality-8, Sindhuli district, along the Madan Bhandari Highway.
According to police, the boy—Mandesh Sada, son of Gangaram Sada of Dudhauli-7 Chihandanda—was struck by a car travelling from Katari to Dakaha.
The driver of the car, identified as Ram Kumar Rai of Chainpur-10, Sankhuwasabha, has been taken into custody by the Area Police Office in Dakaha for further investigation.
Following the incident, local residents blocked the Madan Bhandari Highway, demanding legal action against the driver and compensation for the victim’s family.
