Death toll in Saptari bus accident rises to three
More than two dozen passengers were injured in the incident and have been sent to various hospitals for treatment

The death toll from Sunday’s bus accident in Badgama, ward 10 of Kanchanrup Municipality in Saptari, has climbed to three after one of the injured passengers died during treatment.
According to Superintendent of Police Dhakendra Khatiwada, 75-year-old Ratna Bahadur Magarati of Saptakoshi Municipality-1 succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Golden Hospital in Biratnagar.
The passenger bus, travelling from Gaighat to Biratnagar, veered off the road and crashed, killing one man and one woman on the spot. Their identities have yet to be confirmed. The bodies have been taken to Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj for post-mortem.
