Oman Foreign Minister Albusaidi arrives in Kathmandu

Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi, the minister of foreign affairs of Oman, arrived in Kathmandu on a two-day official visit to Nepal at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs Arzu Rana.
The foreign minister of Oman was received by Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on X.
The two foreign ministers are scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting and discuss various matters on further strengthening Nepal-Oman relations, according to the ministry.
During the visit, Albusaidi will pay a courtesy call on President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, said the ministry in a statement on Sunday.
Nepal and the Sultanate of Oman established their diplomatic relations on January 21, 1977.
The two sides exchanged some high-level visits in the past. Late King Birendra and Queen Aishwarya visited Oman in 1986 and the then prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in 2017.
